| Parkinson's Resources of Oregon offers a training curriculum designed to specifically educate professional and para-professional caregivers about Parkinson's disease (PD). PD is a complex illness, often creating strains on the resources of professional staff and adult foster homes, assisted living, and nursing care centers. This training focuses on helping staff understand how they can better care for patients with this disease, ultimately making for more qualified and confident caregivers. |
The focus of this training is to educate the universal caregiver - those who most frequently come in contact with the person with Parkinson's disease. Benefits of this program include:
- A trained Parkinson's Resources staff member giving the presentation in your facility - or at a presentation for several facilities in your community
- 45 - 60 minute training per module
- Workbooks for each participant
- Certificate of Attendance
- CEUs approved for Nursing Home and Assisted Living Administrators and Adult Foster Home providers.
