SUMMARY:Sleep Challenges In Parkinson’s: Virtual
DESCRIPTION:Experiencing issues with sleep is often a concern for those with Parkinson’s. In this round table event, Dr. Hiller will present an overview of normal sleep and wake cycles as well as many of the common sleep issues seen in Parkinson’s disease. These will include urinary issues in sleep, acting out of dreams, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, and day time sleepiness. She will also review ways to approach many of these sleep issues.\nWe will also be joined by Terry Smith from Eugene. Terry has PD and has been diving deep into various interventions for sleep problems. His journey may be helpful to others as we know that just as symptoms vary so much in PD, the treatment that works for one person may not work for another person. Our hope in offering this panel format is to foster a rich discussion about this issue that impacts so many people with PD.\nThis event is presented in collaboration with Oregon Health & Science University\nRegister\n \n
