SUMMARY:PD Boxing Club, NE Portland
DESCRIPTION:Come join us at Northeast Community Center’s new premiere PD Boxing Club! Each class is designed to address and mitigate common symptoms of Parkinson’s with certified coaching and the latest science backed information. While every session will be a bit different, expect a group warm up, balance and agility work, speed and endurance through boxing fundamentals and lots of vocalizing. Our PD Boxing Club members will work the heavy bag, wall mount menace bag, mitts, TRX and more! A one time equipment fee of $100, included in pricing, will supply you with your own set of gloves, mitts, wraps, and a tee.\nCome prepared to sweat, have fun and find your community with us. We are offering 3 classes a week. Attendance is encouraged but not required for each class. We do not provide refunds for missed classes.\nThis initial class is best suited through stage 2.\nThe Northeast Community Center is located at 1630 NE 38th Ave in Portland. Parking is available in our lot, which is across the street from our front doors. We are also within walking distance of bus lines 12, 75, and 77 as well as the Red, Blue and Green MAX lines.\nPlease note, our facility is unfortunately not ADA accessible. To enter the building, there are 6 stairs. All staircases have handrails. The gymnasium and restrooms are on our first floor after the 6 stairs at the entrance.\nInstructors: Josh English. To learn more, email the Fitness Manager at fitness@necommunitycenter.org\nFees: Spring Session includes 1 time materials fee ($100 includes gloves, wraps, mitts, and a tee!) so initial pricing is $375 NECC members, $570 non-members. We offer insurance-based NECC membership! Summer 2026 session will be different pricing, and folks new to the program will pay the equipment fee separately.\n
