In this special virtual DBS Conversations program, Brooke Shea, M.S., CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist with OHSU and member of OHSU’s multidisciplinary DBS team, will help guide us through this important topic in a clear and approachable way.\nBrooke will explain why speech and swallowing evaluations are an essential step before DBS surgery, what these assessments may include, and how they help individuals and care teams better understand whether DBS is the right fit.
