How to Manage Dysautonomia in Parkinson’s disease

March 9 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Donations Welcome

In this second talk of our four-part education series, Dr. Goldstein will narrow his focus to one particularly serious form of dysautonomia–Neurogenic Orthostatic Hypotension (NOH). The inability to maintain one’s blood pressure when standing is widespread–affecting between 30% and 50% of people with PD; and it is serious—leading to poor circulation to the brain. This disorder is associated with an increased risk of injury and death.

There will be a total of four presentations in this series on Dysautonomia’s. You are welcome to attend any one or all of them. The third presentation will focus on Exercise and Dysautonomia, and the fourth topic will consist of a hands-on class—learning how to determine if you might have Orthostatic Hypotension and what questions to ask your provider.
