The Pilates Method utilizes guidance principles throughout its exercise repertoire. Follow gentle and progressed movements in all directions of the spine. Maintain the spine supple, the core strong, and the mind engaged for better fluid movement.
Spinal movement in all directions: flexion (forward bending), extension (backwards bending), lateral flexion (side bending), rotation, and in combinations from standing to floor work. Suggested props during class.
