Mindful Self Compassion Mindful Self-Compassion Mindfulness practice requires compassionate attitudes toward self and others. Self-compassion is the opposite of self-pity. Self-pity relies on avoidance and despair at the lack of control we all face, which leads to feelings of isolation and self-absorption. Self-compassion greets life’s hardships with kindness and an acknowledgement of universal human suffering, resulting in feelings of connection and resilience. This series is being taught by Stephanie Haugen. #Mindful #Meditate #Portland
