    All PRO staff and volunteers are required to keep identifiable information confidential unless we have received explicit consent to share, or are required by law. 

    Donor Privacy

    We value the trust you place in us when you take the time to donate. We are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our supporters, and we take your gifts of resources very seriously and with deep gratitude. 

    We may collect the following types of donor information: 

    • Personal information: name, address, phone number, email address
    • Donation information: amount(s) donated, date(s) of donation, method of donation, reason for donation 
    • Communication preferences: how and when you prefer to hear from us
    • Event participation information 

    Donor information is used only for purposes related to our mission, including: 

    • Processing donations and issuing receipts and year-end tax statements 
    • Acknowledging contributions 
    • Communicating opportunities to engage with our organization 
    • Ways to improve fundraising and outreach 
    • Compliance with legal and financial reporting requirements

    We do not sell, rent, or trade donor information. We do not publish any individual donor names or listings. (Corporate and Foundation sponsor and supporter names are listed when applicable.) 

    We normally add you to our mailing list unless you request otherwise. 

    Donors will not be acknowledged publicly. We only publicly recognize donors if approved directly by the donor themselves. 
     
    Payment information is processed through third-party vendors that are required to protect donor information. Online donations are processed through secure, encrypted services. We take reasonable measures to protect donor information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.  
     
    Donors may at any time: 
    • Request a copy of their personal information 
    • Update or correct their information
    • Opt out of communications 
    • Ask for their information to be deleted, unless retention is required by law

    We may update this policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on our website with the revised effective date.
