Take the First Step in Supporting People with Parkinson's Disease

EVERY STEP IS PERSONAL
Sole Support is a series of fundraising and awareness walks held throughout Oregon and SW Washington. Each 1k and 5k walk is a powerful, inspiring opportunity to fundraise and increase awareness and support for those living with Parkinson’s and PD+, ensuring no one has to face this disease alone.

Sole Support is for families (and friends and neighbors and colleagues…)!! When a family member or someone you care about has Parkinson’s disease, feelings can hit hard and Sole Support becomes a rally point of support and care.

Activity is already underway for the 2023 Sole Support season!  It is never too early to start making plans for your team and family to gather to support each other and the accessible services of PRO. Registration, fundraising and general support is LIVE!  Call 800.426.6806 and one of our staff or volunteers will help with all your questions.

Patterned for Parkinson's

Designs for Independence

The inaugural Patterned for Parkinson’s luncheon was hosted in Portland in November, 2022 and met with rave reviews.  With a delightful luncheon and program featuring lovely client models, we were able to help our guest imagine and realize functional and fashionable adaptations for everyday wear.

Plans are underway to produce our next Patterned for Parkinson’s luncheon and fashion show – we hope you will join us.  To learn more or join a volunteer committee in your community, please contact Jeannine Walker, Special Events and Sponsorships.

We are excited to create a ticketed event that showcases fashions and fashionable solutions to common dressing and attire challenges faced by members of the movement disorder community.

Community Fundraisers

As a community, we can do big things!

Community fundraisers are a fantastic way for you to show your support of PRO through your interests, connections, and talents. Engage your friends and community to organize an event in which the beneficiary is or includes PRO.

Our process is such that you will feel encouraged and supported along the way, while maintaining control of your vision and passion. Organizers of community fundraisers must complete an agreement which will facilitate a smooth and successful event for all!

What They Say

"We look forward to Sole Support every year. It is the first item to go on our calendar and the one we always schedule around. Our team has been big, some years it is small, but always always our hearts are larger for having participated."

"I've been to a lot of fundraising events. A lot. PRO's events always stand out - not just because the mission is personal - but the care and attention. It is clear they have thought of every detail to make guests feel welcome and supported. Helps me feel even more generous!"

"A couple months ago Facebook reminded me I had a birthday coming up and suggested I create an online fundraiser. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was so easy to set up on Facebook. Wow! My friends really surprised me and it feels fabulous to know the impact one simple online post can make!"
