Act To Adapt

We are thrilled to bring an exciting, inspiring, and educational event to Bend, Oregon! Join us to learn about gadgets and gizmos for everyday life and explore resilience beyond a diagnosis! With an adaptive fashion display, gadgets and gizmos to explore and an exhibit hall where you will have a chance to talk to industry professionals about their specialized therapies and local community partners, this interactive day will leave you feeling empowered and full with a plated lunch included.

Topic and speakers:

Kat Hill will be presenting Resilience with Change, an approach to finding joy and remaining resilient with Parkinson’s disease. Kat is an author and advocate for finding wellness despite a diagnosis. She speaks around the world for the World Parkinson Congress and the Davis Phinney Foundation. She is also a co-founder of the Women’s Parkinson’s Project. Her co-authored book, Being Well with Chronic Illness. You can find her at

Occupational Therapist, Toni Brockman will present Gizmos and Gadgets. She will demonstrate how to use a variety of items to make daily activities easier. Toni has been an Occupational Therapist for 30 years. She has extensive experience working with a wide range of neurological diagnoses.
