
Advanced Stage Family Caregiver Workshop
The advanced stages of Parkinson’s disease may last anywhere from several months to several years. Intensive, around-the-clock assistance is usually required. In the advanced stages of PD families are called upon to make difficult decisions about their loved one’s care. Even with the understanding that Parkinson’s disease is progressive, it is hard to be prepared. This education workshop will prepare family members and caregivers to approach the advanced stages of the disease with more confidence. Recognizing every family situation is unique, the program will educate caregivers about the issues and decisions impacting quality of life.
