Part of our rural outreach initiative, Hope in PD is our third piece of education in Coos Bay. We have come together to learn about the disease, services in the area, lifestyle recommendations and now we will hear from a neurologist about the latest in the field of Parkinson’s medicine.

There are more treatment options for Parkinson’s disease now than there have ever been. This is an exciting time with the development of new biomarkers for Parkinson’s disease through spinal fluid, as well as new diagnostics through skin biopsy. Dr. Kraakevik will be discussing current treatments, ongoing research studies, and how to maintain hope in the face of Parkinson’s Disease.
