Adventure with Parkinson’s: Inspiration and Practical Strategies (Virtual)

Get inspired and gain practical tips for staying active, adapting to Parkinson’s, and pursuing adventures and goals that matter to you.

What does adventure look like after a Parkinson’s diagnosis? For Troy Reinhart, it has included traveling to Everest Base Camp and summiting Mount Kilimanjaro. But you don’t have to be climbing a mountain to have your own adventure. Maybe there’s a trip you’d like to take, an activity you want to get back to, or something new you’ve been curious to try.

Join Troy as he shares what he’s learned from traveling and taking on some incredible adventures while living with Parkinson’s. Carol-Ann Nelson, PT, DPT, NCS, MSCS with Destination Rehab, will bring a physical therapist’s perspective to the conversation, with practical tips for preparing for travel and activity, planning around changes in medications or mobility, and staying active safely while still working toward personal goals.

Whether your next adventure is a trip around the world, a walk around the block, or something in between, you’ll leave with inspiration from Troy’s story and practical ideas to help you keep moving toward what matters to you.
