Walking, Balance, and Parkinson’s: Beaverton

Martina Mancini, PhD and Carla da Silva Batista, PhD discuss how Parkinson’s affects walking and balance and ways to slow this progression.

Are you noticing changes in the way you walk or finding your balance isn’t quite what it used to be? As Parkinson’’s progresses, these types of changes in gait and balance are not uncommon.

Come to this informative in-person presentation by Dr. Martina Mancini and Dr. Carla da Silva Batista from the OHSU Balance Disorders Laboratory. They will discuss the changes one may experience, as well as covering what interventions you can incorporate into your daily routine to help address them.

Martina and Carla will also share information about the exciting research that is happening at the Gait and Balance Lab and how you can possibly be involved.

This event is presented in collaboration with Oregon Health & Science University
